Our 5th Anniversary!

Logan and I got married five years ago yesterday! I can't believe it has really been that long! I guess time flies when your having fun! I truly am so grateful for Logan! He is the love of my life, my partner in crime, my best friend, and my eternal companion. I am in awe of him and he is willingness to work so hard for our family. He sacrifices so much for us and never complains. He is the funniest person I know and I have loved being married to him these past five years. He is a wonderful husband and father and Benson and I adore him so much. There isn't anything he can't do. He is one of those people that is naturally smart and good at everything which is annoying and good at the same time because we balance each other out because I am so not like that! We've had some good times and bad time but in either there is no one else I'd rather be with. Back when we were dating in High School I always thought that whoever got to marry Logan was a very lucky girl and I know I truly am. He is so kind and would give the shirt off his back to anyone whether he knew them or not. He is always trying to make people laugh and he loves to have a good time. He is romantic and is always doing nice things for me. He loves to Benson out just the two of them and be buddies. He's handsome, loyal, sweet, kind, sexy (yes, I did say it and I know your thinking it! (; ), funny, honest, hardworking, smart, driven, etc... The list goes on and on. I am so grateful for these past 5 years with you, baby, and I hope for 100 more!

For our anniversary we went to Salt Lake for the day and went to Temple Square where we got married. Then we went to Cabelas (of course) and to Trolley Square where we ate at the Rodizio Grill. We had a lot of fun together. Ben got to spend the day with Logan's mom and I know he had a lot of fun, also! Grandmas are the best!

Just Planes

Logan has a buddy that works for Omni which is a life flight company here in Idaho Falls and the other day he called Logan up and told him to bring Ben out there to see the plane. Ben absolutely loved it. They got to sit inside it and look around and then he didn't want to get out of it. Now everytime he sees or hears a plane he gets so excited and looks around for it in the sky and he'll watch it until he can't see it anymore and then he talks about the plane for the next little while. It's pretty funny. I love seeing him get excited over things and watch him discover the world around him.

LuLu Bug

One important part of our family has not been put one our blog yet. Lucy. We got Lucy when we first moved to Utah after Logan graduated. She was the cutest little dachsund I have seen. Even now that she is 3 years old she is the most beautiful dachsund I have ever seen. She is so sweet and has so much personality. She keeps us laughing all the time. I couldn't have asked for a better companion to be with when Logan was working night shifts at the hospital and I was home all alone in Salt Lake and a little scared, I'll admit. That's when I got pregnant with Ben and I worried how she would do when the baby arrived. It couldn't have turned out better. She became very protective and very concerned over Benson. As Ben has grown up their relationship has turned into more of a love- hate one but I know she is still protective and concerned about him. She on the other hand is the one that has needed a little more protection. He can be quite rough with her and we have had to watch him really close with her because I am more afraid he will hurt her than the other way around. He really does love her, though. They are little buddies and play really cute together. He calls her Susy or Lulu or Lu-bug. She has been a blessing in our home and we could imagine what it would be like without her.

Crazy First Year

Since we just started this blog there is alot I would have put on our blog had we had one. So here are a few of my favorite photos of our first year together with Ben. I was quite an adventure being a new mom and trying to figure things out. Ben was a natural born comedian. I swear I have never laughed so much in my whole life as I have since he was born. He is quite a fighter. He had 2 surgeries his first year. One at three months and one a month before he turned one. He has opened up my eyes and made me see the world in a new way and made me appreciate things I never thought twice about before. Like these squirrels that live in our back yard. he loves to stand on the back of our couch and watch them run around and chase each other. He gets so excited to see them. He calls them "mouse" because squirrel is a little hard to say. He has been very independant from day one (he gets that from his dad). He crawled at six months and walked at nine (hit the ground running and never, ever stops). He is stubborn and never gives up. He is kind- of obsessive compulsive (he gets that from me) and knows exactly what he wants and if you don't get it for him he will get it himself. But in between all the running around and crazyiness he has these brief moments that he is so sweet and kind. I soak them up because they are few and far in between but thats makes me appreciate them more. He is a momma's boy but there is a special relationship he has with Logan. I think he is a perfect mixture of both of us! He is such a handsome boy and we had an amazing first year. Sorry, there are a lot of photos! There are to many cute ones to choose from!

This was his first halloween and no costumes fit him very well except this one!
He always looked funny in the car seat because he was so small. At the hospital he had to sit in the car seat and they checked his breathing and stuff while he sat in it to make sure he would be ok in it because he was under weight for him to be in it.
He has loved baths and water since the beginning!

He wore preemie cloths until he was 3 months old and has always been a size behind. Even now.

His first Christmas.

He didn't like the snow very much.

He love hats!

He has the cutest baby feet in the whole world!

Benson Daniel Cutts joined the world March 27th, 2007

Benson Daniel Cutts joined our family on March 27th, 2007. He came a month early due to PIH. The pregnancy went well until the end. I had to be induced and right before he came out it got a little scary. His heart rate kept dropping when I pushed but we were in excellent hands and we both got through it. He weighed 4 lbs 11 oz. He was so tiny. They took him straight to the NICU and cleaned out his lungs and he was suppose to stay there but he ended up doing just fine so they watched there for awhile and then they brought him to me. That was the most surreal miment of my entire life. He was ours, our child. I was so scared out of mind and I had no idea how to take care of this little baby. I can't believe how far we have come. Anyway, he was in the 3rd percentile in both height and weight. He has bumped up to the 5th percentile and has stayed there. He is has been super healthy other than 2 surgeries. He had a right inguinal hernia repair when he was 3 months old and a left inguinal hernia right before he turned one. He did well with both of them. He is the love of our lives! We are so lucky and glad to have him.

This picture really shows how teeny he was.

He wore preemie clothes and they still were super huge on him!

Finally!

I am finally going to get our blog going! Logan's been bugging me for months but I just haven't done it so here's to you babe! I have had a hard time knowing where to start so I will start at the beginning of our married life and give a few little thoughts about our life before Benson.

These are some of our engagement pictures. It seems so long ago. Here is our love story... Logan and I dated in High School and after we graduated he asked me to wait for him while he went on his mission then he "Dear Janed" me and when he got home he asked me to marry him and I said "yes" and we got married in the Salt Lake Temple on August 21st, 2004.
